Yard has such a lovely selection at the moment that I thought I would share my favourites with you. (For any new readers - Yard is a very unique shop in Poundbury, Dorset, combining fashion with gifts and homewares - you can read all about it on my previous blog post here)
Knitwear is always my biggest weakness at Yard, the sweaters and jumpers are always more special than anything you can find on the high street, and this season is no exception. There are some gorgeous colours and beautifully soft textures that feel great and look fabulous. They are the perfect addition to your wardrobe to fight off the chill on those fresh spring and summer mornings.
First up are these sweaters from Maison Scotch which tick the box for the sporty trend this summer, crafted from a linen and cotton mix. Gorgeous shades of Hawaii pink and lavender to add a splash of colour to your wardrobe, I had to feature both as I can't decide which one I prefer! They are super comfortable and have a relaxed slim fit - I would wear with boyfriend jeans and sneakers or slip on trainers.
Maison Scotch sweaters £79
Maison Scotch Skinny jeans £120
Becksondergaard scarf £33
Next is this simple but elegant charcoal cardigan from Parisien label Marie Sixtine, with a pretty floral lining. It would go well with so many outfits but I would wear it over a dress or with capri pants for a more polished Audrey Hepburn look. The cardigan is pictured alongside a fine knit top in a stunning coral shade from Great Plains.
Marie Sixtine cardigan - £80
Great Plains knit top - £40
Great Plains scarf - £20
Maison Scotch Boyfriend Jeans - £130
A burst of seasonal colour, this Maison Scotch yellow sweater really stands out because of the incredibly soft fabric and the different texture on the sleeves. I would wear over a white shirt and with boyfriend jeans for an off duty casual look.
And a close up below of the different texture on the sleeve:
Maison Scotch Sweater £80
Maison Scotch Boyfriend Jeans £130
White Shirt - Soaked in Luxury - £35
Yellow Pocket Bag -1951 Maison Francaise £75
This next jumper is by Scandinavian label Twist & Tango and looks so beautiful on. In a very pale mint colour that looks so fresh for spring - I would wear with dark skinny jeans and ankle boots and a
scarf to finish the outfit. I also like stripey knits at this time of year and love this one in mint and grey from Great Plains.
Twist & Tango Jumper - £105
Great Plains Knit Top - £50
Scarf - Miss Shorthair, £22
Maison Scotch Jeans - £120
Saving the best until last, I am very tempted by this pullover from Part Two, which is plain navy at the front with a stunning blue and white print on the back. I would wear it with pale denim jeans like these from Maison Scotch.
Part Two Pullover £74.95
Maison Scotch Skinny Jeans £120

Yard sounds quite like my friends shop in Jersey (some similar clothing brands) & so straight away I love the items you've picked! I love all of the Maison Scotch sweaters, such gorgeous colours & I'm a huge Becksondergaard fan so the scarf in the 1st pic is right up my street! You look fab in your monochrome outfit...I've always regretting not getting the black MV jeans, they look great on you! Have a lovely weekend! Sian x
ReplyDeleteLove these outfits, real clothes for real life!
ReplyDeleteIt's a very good job that I don't live near Yard Abbi.....I would be penniless! Gorgeous pieces, love them all! xx
ReplyDeleteGorge selections Abbi, especially love the yellow top and bag - I still haven't found my way around Poundbury. Yard sounds fab, I must admit I despair with most of the shops in Dorchester. I'll have to pack my little one of to Grannies one day and pay them a visit - are you in Dorch?
ReplyDeleteI'm up North now for ten days and have gone ballistic at all the shops, been saving myself up! x
Hi Keri - I'm in Bridport. You will love yard! it isn't like the other shops in Dorch! Hope you had a fab time up North, what did you buy?
