Sales confessions

My last post may have been all about autumn clothing, but I am still well and truly focused on summer clothes with only a week to go until our fortnight in France. The sales may be in their final stages, but there are still bargains to be had - last week I picked up this embroidered smock dress from Mango for my holiday:

I'd had my eye on it all season and couldn't believe it when I saw it in the sale as it's been so popular. It is still available in small sizes at ASOS, but has sold out everywhere else. I love the woven cotton material and the stunning embroidery detail. Here I am wearing it this week - such an easy breezy dress for the beach and I will wear it as a tunic over skinny jeans when the holidays are over:


Yes, the other sales purchase was the fabulos yellow bowling bag from Boden:

This was a very planned purchase, again something that I had admired all season, and at half price in the sale, it would have been rude not too! It's the perfect size and the leather is so soft. I didn't take it to the beach, but I do love it with the Mango dress as there is yellow in the embroidery:

    I love both of your buys, Abbi, especially the Mango dress which I've seen on a few bloggers. I'm sure it'll be perfect for your holiday! I bought a couple of things in the Boden sale but I'd already spent so much last month anyway that I had to resist temptation! Lynne x

    The dress is fab & I love the bag...great style/colour! I had some good sale hauls from Boden/Gap & Atterley road so I'm done! Enjoy your holiday. x

    Your Mango dress is perfect for summer trips to the beach. I can see you wafting around a French market or two in it as well. Doesn't the bag go so well with it too.

    Great choices Abbi, I've loved that dress all season too but feel it's a bit short for me, fab on you and everyone else I've seen it on! Love the colour of the bag, it goes perfectly and will look lovely with jeans and a breton later on. Glad I'm not the only one who hasn't had their holiday yet! x

    Lucky you to pick the Mango dress in the sale!! It's gorgeous isn't it!! I just got mine out to pack for my holiday.....think I am going to wear it today for my daughter's birthday BBQ!! Lovely bag too xx
