Outfit Post: Damart Fur Gilet

High on my autumn wish list (see blog post here) is a fur gilet, so when Damart got in touch recently to ask if there was anything I would like to review from their latest Look Book, it was a very easy decision! Damart has widened its audience over the last couple of years and successfully welcomed a younger target market to the brand. As part of this effort they have put together a fabulous Look Book featuring younger models, which also serves as a style guide for the autumn/winter collection. Faux fur is everywhere on the high street this season, so a gilet will ensure that you stay warm but feel fashionable at the same time. Here are the pictures that grabbed my attention:

As I already have a black gilet, I ordered the taupe colour that I'd had in mind for this winter. It's arrival was perfectly timed - just as the weather finally started to become more autumnal, which meant I could wear it straightaway. I'm so thrilled with it - a great fit - I ordered my normal size which is a little bit loose to allow for layers I might want to add underneath as it gets colder. The fur is super soft and feels so luxurious (especially for the £39 price tag) - perfect to throw on for the school run at this time of year and easy to style with jeans and boots.

Here I am wearing it this weekend:

Fur Gilet c/o Damart
Leopard Scarf c/o Damart
White Top - Ltb at Yard SS13
Skinny Jeans - Zara AW13
Boots - Russell & Bromley (old)
Bag - Mulberry

I loved the picture from the Look Book of the gilet teamed with the leopard print scarf and Damart very kindly sent me this to go with it! As a huge fan of leopard accessories I can't believe I didn't already have one, but it's such a classic item and is going to get so much wear - I was so pleased with it as it's not at all bulky and a complete steal at only £15.

If you like the gilet in black you can see it styled by two of my fellow bloggers Avril here and Michelle here. And for something equally fabulous from the Look Book check out Donna's blog here. You can also find Damart's interactive Look Book on this link.

So are you looking for a fur gilet this winter and what will you be wearing it with? For me it's such  a classic staple that will be in my wardrobe for years to come......

  8. Ooh, I much prefer the taupe colour to the black! It looks really luxurious. Damart have some great pieces this season and their prices are very reasonable too. I love that you styled it with the leopard print scarf; it looks great. I recently purchased a gilet so hopefully I shall be showcasing it on the blog soon! It's gotten noticeably colder here in Dorset so there will be plenty of opportunities for wearing it! xxx

    1. Thanks Enma, where is yours from? I think it's definitely cold enough, I want heating on, but a grumpy husband is telling me to put a jumper on :(
